I stumbled across this woman recently one night when I was up late and surfing the net on various topics. I don’t remember how I came across this video, and I honestly don’t know how I haven’t heard of her before (I absolutely love strong, inspirational female role models in business and I especially love a good rags to riches story), but I am so glad I did. Sophia Amoruso, Founder and CEO of US retail giant, Nasty Gal, started her bedroom business on eBay in her early twenties, out of a mixture of necessity and hobby, and turned it into a multi-million dollar fashion company. One hundred million dollars in annual revenue, to be exact. I can’t wait to read her book #GIRLBOSS, and maybe I’ll even get to interview her one day, but for now, let the inspiration come flooding in through the multitude of seminar style interviews with her on YouTube…

I first heard of Sophia in my Seventeen magazine, and it was so refreshing to see a strong women who wasn’t afraid to try. I feel like she is such an inspiration for young girls and people in general! I have so much respect and admiration for her! Great post!
